Hiking Boots
So i find myself here now
Wondering lonely as a cloud
Save but for my trusty friend
Soggy nose to fluffy end!
Prancing through the frost he goes
Waggy tail and snuffly nose
Past the mighty oak so true
Weeping willow, lofty yew

Over fields, bridge and stream
Upon which soft sunlight gleams
Racing down the country track
Hiking boots and walking Mac
Stopping for the briefest rest
To enjoy the view and catch my breath
And maybe write a verse or two
Just silly prose, I shan't show you!
Too soon our walk is at an end
But worry not my fuzzy friend
We'll be out again another day
Whatever weather comes our way
